Hey Experts,

I'm using a CPU 1516-3 PN/DP CPU, with a 6ES7 551-1AB00-0AB0 TM Posinput and a Motion Control TO_ExternalEncoder technolog object. 

I can see in Diagnotstics on the technolog module that the Position actual value makes sence.. 
e.g if the encoder have a value of 4000, and i turn the PLC OFF, then move with the encoder, turns the PLC back ON, it will change the value as expected. that value is not accessible through the DB, what is accessible through the DB is something called Actual Position. But this value starts at 0.0 after a reset?? 

I have enabled modulo.
Using telegram 83.
Fine resolution:
Gx_XIST1 0 bit 
Gx_XIST2 12 bit

i hope this makes sence to someone, and can help me.

Then i execute the MC_Home with mode 7 ( Absolute encoder adjustment )
it just changes to 0.0.

Do i have to do futher configuretions in my technolog module, I noticed in the configuretions in homing configuretion the home position is 0.0?

You must use MC_Home to set the position. Use the mode "absolute encoder adjustment"

You must change this parameter offline, compile and download the program again.

 Tryed it mulitple times, it dosen't seem to change.. even tryed deleting the technolog module, and creating it again
