Ok, I think some of them links may help me out. When the 1 count module arrives in the post next week I will have a play around with it and see if I can get some progress

i have tried using the 1 count module with my encoder to see if I could get it working. I followed the link to the Siemens example but I cannot get it to work. 

I have used the attached program and created the same vat table as the example although when I turn the encoder in either direction, I do not see the count value change from 0. I am monitoring db1.dbd8. 

What would the reasons be for this? I have the correct terminal module and my wiring is correct and the modules are slotted together correctly on the rail. I have tried shorting the terminals out with 24vdc in case the encoder wasn’t working but still no fix. 

Also my 1 count module has no led’s lighting up when I move the encoder.

edit: My module hardware configuration is the same as the example also

Does anyone have any experience with the 1 count 24v/100khz module that would be able to give me some advice?
