Hello, one solution could be to evaluate the handwheel directly inside the drive and your 2 axes are geared axes in synchronous operation. There is a drive-based application for synchronism. As a leading value you can use the "measuring wheel" option which is in your case the handwheel. https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109757232 So the motion functionality is completely inside the drive. The PLC is only "controlling" the machine by commanding the functions of the axes (like gearing, jogging, homing etc.). For this application there is only a ready-to-use function block for S7-1200/1500. S7-300 control is also possible of course but therefore no FB exists. Of course the functionality could be also done by technology PLCs (like S7-1500T PLC) or SIMOTION with technology objects, but I am not sure if your hardware is fixed already. |
With best regards, |

Hi. Thanks for your answer. I think this decision good, but S7-300 not enough for this application. I looked a link, it describes DCB and required hardware and software. When using the optional SIMATIC PLC control blocks LMCSINA, STEP7 Professional V14 SP1 or higher is needed. |
