Hi, all. I'm trying to learn how the S7-200 HighSpeed Counter work. I wrote the code, but for some reason it doesn't work. I mean, when i apply the logical unit on the I0.6 input; the value of the counter doesn't change.

Can somebody help me? The code in attachements. Thank you.

without to know your logical unit's (real device???) encoder??? pulse source??? type or output characteristic, is probably not simple help to you. Describe pls all infos about that.

better i recommend use some free Output (Q), interconnect it to that Input and program some timeout with Q high/low. You can have better sim of pulses (very precise if you correctly set ON/OFF length). In other case you'll improve your sklills with timer

I0.7 in  high level, and I1.0 in  low level.

I observe no problem with the program. Are you sure that I0.6 switches on and off in the PLC when it is triggered?

See what happens when choosing HSC0 on mode 0 which uses I0.0.

Simulator? Which simulator?

Software simulators does not do well with simulating hardware resources. What is the version of the hardware CPU226 you are using?

what sim??? There isn't official sim for S7-200 so you're waste time. You have real CPU right? You have all good infos from all here. In other case check S7-200 system manual or simply MicroWin help, under High speed you have also Examples how define and test HSC with other types.
