Hello Rasmus7700, I have no experience with your application. But searching through the Techncial Forum, there are more threads about that I think. For example this one: USS and S7-300 in contrast to S7-200 Maybe it will be helpful? Best regards Sabine |

Hi, maybe this application helps you to understand how to use USS protocol on s7-200 side. http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/21690362 here you can order the most actual USS libraries (for both ports) https://mall.automation.siemens.com with this MLFB: 6ES7830-2BC00-0YX0 Detailled information regarding USS you find in the S7-200 manual http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/1109582 from chapter 11 regards Lif |

Here is a module that can be used with USS in S7300 in an ET200S station
You can also take a look at the link below for positioning blocks https://mall.automation.siemens.com/DE/guest/index.asp?aktprim=0&lang=en&nodeID=10000702&foldersopen=-1385-2957-3036-3042-3043-1386-2063-1837-1868-1876-1387-2064-2094-2100-2103-&jumpto=2103 |

For S7-200 ther are some nice positionioning function blocks. I do not know if they work with USS too, but I think so. Look here: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/21063595 If you deside to use a S7-300, you can use Easy Motion Control (6ES7864-0AA00-0YX0) for positioning. I avaible you soulduse PROFIBUS, it's much faster then USS, the positioning will be better. Examples for EMC you can find here: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/20208582/136000&cssw=4 |
