feedback for network disconnection

Veckoff Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hi, How can I achieve a feedback for network disconnection ?, I need this since I have 2 Logo 8 connected, one of them sends by network activate the output 1 (Q1) in the second Logo, but when I have a network disconnection, the output 1 (Q1) continues activated and I need to deactivate if there is a network outage, I think this problem is due to one acting as a master and the other as a slave, and the slave only waits for commands from the master ?? there is an alternative to disable the output of the Logo?. Thanks

This type of communication has many disadvantages. You waste the entire program memory of the slave LOGO!. So you can only the diagnostic bit of the master LOGO! use. You add a network input to the program. Then select "Diagnostics" for the block properties under "Read value from" and the type "Ethernet link error" for "Diagnostic type". If you had master/master communication, then you could get from a LOGO! to the other LOGO! send a life bit and monitor its state. That's how I do it. Attachment Untitled.PNG (255 Downloads)

Which IP addresses do the two LOGO!s have? Are they in the same IP subnet? Can you upload your LOGO! programs as a ZIP file?

Maybe M9 is an input signal of a pulse generator from the second Logo, but for this we need more informations. Regards, Scorp
