I have an application with a Sinamics S120 in a unwinder machine (Smart Line Module 500 kW, motor modules, common DC bus, and additional braking module / resistors). When carrying out the process of unwinding, a failure by undervoltage on the network might happen, then I need to run a stop OFF3, not a OFF2 as normally happens. I have reviewed in the S120 Function Manual and I found a module that can help me with this type of stop (Control Supply Module) My doubt is how they performed: Can this module to store energy to continue magnetized to the engine or should I feed this module from a UPS, or can I use the kinetic energy of the load? (This application has a high inertia and this is behaving like a generator) Still remain enabled the pulses of the IGBT's in the braking process?I understand that the disabled pulses of the IGBT's, there is no magnetization in the motor and therefore there is practically no energy feedback from a load that is moving.
