Help with opening a screen when an Alarm is triggered.

Hello everybody, 

I am trying to create a "notification" which is a screen window on my screen, this screen window should be able to cycle between 3 screens (Good, warning. error) and they should be dismissable with a button (this i have working). These different notifications will pop-up when certain alarms are triggered.

My main way i wanted to do this was with using scheduled tasks, creating a task which will trigger and open a screen in my screen window, no matter how i try to scipt this it throws an error, which i presume means that you cannot actually open screens with scheduled tasks. 

Is there any other way I could change the screen in the screen window where the alarm types will manage what screen is shown?

I might be missing something stupid but I'm not experienced in Javascript and unified, so i apreciate all of your help.

Maybe you define the alarmclass, you're filtering for and set a trigger variable when activeAlarms > 0 ?

 Don't fight with the scheduled tasks for this, they don't have access to UI object so you can't change screen from there.

You could set a trigger bit in the scheduled task and use it to control the Visibility of a screen_window that you're using for your alarm messages.

I was thinking of something like this, but I dont know where exactly I should "insert" the scipt to change the screen window. I basically need it to always be checking some bit which is controlled by the scheduled tasks, and when an alarm is rung, the screen then pops out/changes.

You can set the bit in the scheduled tasks. You then use the bit as a dynamic variable for the visibility of a screen-window that is permanently invisible and active in the background. As long as you don't want to run a Trend_Control in there, this shouldn't waste too much computing power.
