Distributed I/Os: end of the synchronization with a DP master

Dear Experts,

We are facing a problem of communication error  with s7-300 315-2DP & HMI . This error comes randomly (exact frequency not known, approx. 3-4 times per day), HMI becoms hang & CPU flashes SF & BF alarm. We need to reset the PLC to resume the operation. The error i shown below which is "Distributed I/Os: end of the synchronization with a DP master".

Hereby i am attaching Hardware Configuration, Network configuration and diagnostic error logs for your king reference.

Kindly suggest to get out of this problem.

Check CPU properties-Startup for settings for following-

Finished message from modules (100 ms):

This option specifies the maximum time for the finished message of all configured modules after power on. If the modules do not send a ready message to the CPU by the time the monitoring time has expired, the actual configuration becomes unequal to the preset configuration. The reaction of the CPU is therefore determined by the parameter "Startup if preset configuration not equal to actual configuration."

Within this monitoring time, all power supplies can be activated, for example, for a multi-tier configuration or for devices which are connected to the CPU via the DP-master interface without the startup order needing to be observed.

Transfer of parameters to modules (100 ms):

The maximum time for the transfer of parameters to modules which can have parameters assigned (the time commences after "Ready message from modules (ms)" ). For CPUs with a DP-master interface, you can also use this parameter to set the startup time monitoring of the DP slaves. In other words, the DP slaves must start up and be assigned parameters by the CPU (as DP master) within the specified time.

If not all of the modules or DP slaves have been assigned parameters by the time this monitoring time has expired, the actual configuration becomes unequal to the preset configuration. The reaction of the CPU is therefore determined by the parameter "Startup if preset configuration not equal to actual configuration."

You should increase these parameters.

Also the communication parameters for HMI DP communication must be identical on PLC & HMI.

As suggested by you, I checked the start up parameters of CPU, Which is as under at present :-

"Finished message from modules [100 ms]- 650

Transfer of parameters to modules [100ms]- 100

Should i make"Finished message from modules [100 ms] to 100 or should i increase this value.

Hi,

Keep it around 900 ms. 650 is default value. & Check.

Please check DP comm parameters like baud rate, S7ONLINE, max address parametrs for HMI. These all should be identical to PLC[Hardware confi. properties of Profibus subnet-Profibus_1].

 Thank you Sir for this valuable resolution. Presently same problem I'm also facing in S7 414-4H CPU with PCS7 software.
