1D BarCode Reading and Confirmation with MV440

MS1981 Silver Member Joined: 4/14/2010 Last visit: 8/6/2024 Posts: 525 Rating: (11)	Greeting, We have one project to purpose our client for the Barcode Label Printing, and these label will manually adhesively on case which is traveled on conveyer with speed of 20 case/minute. there will be printed 1D Code 39 or Code 128 on label (as attached) with adjustable label size from 50x20mm to 170x100m We will install two cameras on conveyor one for reading barcode in production hall and another as confirmatory in ware house. we have create one barcode sample with label star office printer software, this printer will use for barcode label printing. (as attached) which we will read on first location and again read for confirmation on second location. The barcode will generate according product specification and input parameters through printer software. Owei Gold Expert Joined: 10/1/2013 Last visit: 5/8/2024 Posts: 605 Rating: (71)	Hi, do you really need the Text Genius licence? If you will only read and verify bar codes you won't need Text Genius. For a working distance up to 350mm and an object size of 170x100mm you would need a MV440 HR and a 12mm lens. For a working distance of around 50mm and an object size of 50x20mm you can use a MV440 SR and a 6mm lens. Appart from that your configuration looks fine. 20 codes a minute should be handled without any problems.
