HOW TO COMMUNICATE KTP 700 HMI TO ABB AC800M CPU

Dear sir,

I am using in my company ABB AC800M -PM 864 CPU for machine operation. While commissioning ABB used their own HMI i.e PP 600  and it was communicating via profibus protocol. The ABB station consisting of CI854A (Profibus card) and PM 864 CPU. Now i want to remove ABB HMI and introduce SIEMENS KTP 700 HMI. Please give information how to communicate ABB CPU to SIEMENS KTP 700 using PROFIBUS / MODBUS TCP/IP or any other protocol.

If you have not yet selected to final model of your KTP700, I would like to point out the following KTP700 Basic DP unit, which comes with an integrated Profibus-DP connection that you can easily set up with your ABB controller, as per the original commissioning. See the screenshot below.

The other model is the KTP700 Basic, which comes with an integrated Profinet port: 6AV2123-2GB03-0AX0.

Here is a link to the HMI Basic Devices (2nd Generation) manual, which discusses this DP variation and others, it will show you can use various alternat communications networks to connect to the HMI, among them  Modbus RTU and Profinet.
