Controlling a Bacnet network via VPN. Hi! I need some help with PXC100.ed communication with XWP via VPN tunnel. In one of our recent projects it is becoming very difficult to go on site every time to make some small adjustments. We want to be able to Control the whole network from our office. To achieve this we set up a VPN network with Mikrotik routers. The VPN server is in the office and there is a 4g router on site that is connected to the local network. From here we want to upload small adjustments, view live data, edit the PXG3 user interface (you can use port forward but this seems to be an all in one solution), view data on Modbus devices via a TXI2. To further specify: -Want to be able to do a Node setup. -Download from XWP project to the specified AS. -View Live data in XWP read out from both PXC100.ed Brief description of the local network(on site): -4g Mikrotik VPN router -PXG3w100(as bacnet router) North GroupSouth group -Switch01-Switch02 -eghE-eghE -PXC100-e.d-PXC100-e.d (Primary server)-TXI2 with RS485 Modbus network Settings were based on an older post but not everything is clear how it is supposed to be. What I understood is both PXC devices need to have a fixed IP addresses, and BDT and FDT have to be turned on. BDT is only for the primary server, and FDT is on for both. And when you try to connect through VPN, you need to add the BBMD address which is the Bacnet address? I need some clarification on what FDT, BDT and BBMD means. (Everything regarding TCP/IP is in the same segment) You can ping both PXC100 devices so it is 100% percent that they should be communicating. My lack of knowledge of these protocols and settings are the problem. I made a quick overview of the project in XWP and uploaded it to youtube, here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6b0HPMR9gE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dhHOcc44kk Problems to solve: -Node setup is not working at all -When you navigate to CFC compile and download it shows a success message with zero error but the data is not changed on the PXC100-e.d(checked via the web server, we tried to change a setpoint value but it is not changing (web server set to automatically update device data) ). -After the “successful” download we can’t view live data. I think that's all, if more information is needed please tell me and I’ll try to provide more. Thank you for your answer in advance! AttachmentDESIGO XWP VPN connection.pdf (696 Downloads) |
