Is Leine-Linde FSI 862 suitable to be used as single encoder with SMC30 for SLS and SOS monitoring

I'm replying to this old topic with similar question.

I have two drive configurations that I want to use with monitioring of SLS and SOS:

1) Configuration with encoder:

• Control unit: CU320-2 PN FW5.2
• Power module: 6SL3320-1TE32-6AA3
• Sensor module: SMC30 (external) 
• Encoder type: Leine-Linde FSI 862 - HCHTL, SIL2, PLd, Cat 3 

Question 1:

Can you please check if Leine-Linde FSI 862 encoder is suitable to be used as single encoder with SMC30 for SLS and SOS monitoring or it must be used in 2-encoder configruation?

Split from Is it still the case that the only type of encoder allowed is 1Vpp sin/cos with SMC20 and not HTL with SMC30?.
