Do I understand correctly, that the master-slave connection to reserve up the master connection resources? If yes - how many? |

Dear all allow me fristly to put the discussion about connection resources to rest: PROFIBUS DP communication in a master-slave system does NOT use connection resources Secondly, do not get confused by thethe "number of connections = 16" statement insidethe "DP Slave" section dear hkryan802. This means that if that particular interface is used as a Profibus DP Slave port,it will still support a maximum of 16 other "connection resource consuming" connections (e.g. SCADA system, HMI's, S7 online programming, S7 communicationsas a Server etc.). Note that these 16 connections do count towards the overallmaximum of connections that the CPU as a whole supports (which would be "only"16 in the case of a 315). I hope this helps |
