As per the LV .1.2009; releases like ETU 10M, ETU 20 etc are designed for gemerator protection. Regards, Santoo..........

ETU is an expression for the electronic trip unit of the MCCB. Each CB has tripping curve and if you select ETU10 , it has curve different of ETU20 for the same CB size. From here, you can understand why you found large varieties of MCCB for the same current, size and short circuit level. But finally, if you use the configurator, and if you entered the data of your application correctlly, it will finally gives you the suitable part number and also dimensional drawings and isometric or 3-D files for the breaker selected. I know that the generators have low short circuit values and hence the protection range of short circuit current will be low. Hello, Yes the short circuit level is low with generators. Normally the generator will not delever more than 8 - 12 times (instantainious) or 3 times (sustained) of its rated current on a three-phase bolted fault. And the accurie value of short circuit level should be taken from generator supplies. With best regards,

Hello, Circuit breaker used for motor protection are different than those used for generator protection. Thus because Circuit breakers protects against overload and short circuit. And as short circuit current in generator case is arround 8-12times (instantainious)or3 times (sustained) of its rated current on athree-phase bolted fault.and these values are not the same for motors or even for lighting. For this reason manufactures made circuit breakers suitable for generators, motors or lighting loads. Hope this helps.

Dear @nkur, its a simple distingush,MCCb for system that means your panel main incomer MCCB, and motor protection MCCb that means MCCB used for perticular feeder for DOL or S/D incomer.
