Frequent tripping of the VFD

popvladimir Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	We have a Siemens SIMOVERT Masterdrive with a size K rectifier and a size L inverter (siemens PN for the whole thing is 6SE7241-2FS00-3AD0-Z). For the last couple of months we have been getting a F002 Prechage Fault on the OP1S panel accompanied by F032 fault on the rectifier PMU. I have read previos discussions on how to troubleshoot F002 faults so I measured the DC link voltage directly at the DC link conductors with my meter and got the same reading as on the OP1S panel - it was around 7VDC at the time the drive tripped. I guess this rules out the PSU2 and the IVI boards as the measured voltage and the displayed voltage were the same. This usally happens when the drive is not in use for a while (the input voltage is always present but the ON command is not given). Since I didn't have time to troubleshoot the problem right then I reset the fault from the OP1S panel (got the green RUNNING light to come on and red FAULT light dissappeared), but the voltage on the OP1S was still showing 7VDC on the DC link. Then I reset the PMU inside the rectifier cabinet (it was showing F032) and the voltage immediately went up to 790VDC on the OP1S (the drive was then ready to be used). Two more things 1. Every time the drive tripped on F002 the 3 phase 600VAC input was never interrupted - it is there all the time. This would rule out the possibility of no input voltage being brought to the rectifier bridge and the drive tripping because of that. 2. When all the faults are cleared the drive would work great for a week, or a month or just a couple of days before it tripped again on F002 and F032. I guess what I mean to say is when it is working, it is working fine - it can deliver the desired current and run the motor at the desired speed. Does anyone have a solution for this problem? Thanks.
