It is "simply" a 9-slot rack for a S7-400 PLC, with integrated backplane. There is no provision for redundancy with this UR-2 rack. If your project requires a switch for redundancy you will have to select. Install and commission one independantly of this rack. If this does not answer your questions properly, maybe you could take the time to clarify your thoughts. For example, what should be redundant in your design, the CPUs, or communications to a dual SCADA system, or...
