Hello wacky; The attachment shows typical isolation data for a S7-300 DIO module. It is taken from the following manual: SIMATIC S7-300 S7-300 Automation System Module Data Of course, there is no protection better than a well-trained, well-directedand competent crew. Hi ET200S cards are all 24VDC operated which is being powerd up by power module (like 6ES7138- 4CA01-0AA0) which again needs 24V DC as Input. Since you need sitop to power up these power modules of ET200S, you need to study the voltage/current aspects of Sitops and not that of DI/DO/AIcards of ET200S. As long as Sitops are working properly your Et200S family would be more then happy. Sitop like 6EP1334-2AA01 has built in fuse and its over voltage resistance is 2.3xVin for1.3s ! You can find other details of your interest overhere. Also sensors are most of the 24VdC operated which means again you have to see the Sitops specification only and not that of sensors and Di/Do cards.Also its standard practice to isolate field sensors using proper size fuse. And in any wayeven after takeing all precautions if spike do reaches DI/Do cards that you can say to yourcustomers that cards are galvinically isolated and will FRY that card only and notneighbouring cards. Also if possible tell your customer that you should look for ways of preventing yourself from Tsunami and not on making your self stronger so as to prevent Tsunami effecting you! |
