840 CNC System Error - Please Help

Good afternoon,

I have a CNC lathe with a Siemens control system on it and I am having issues. Out of the blue I got the errors shown in the attached picture and bellow. 

I purchased a spare Power unit as our engineer thought it maybe this, but it did not cure the issue, I had the same problem. 

Any advice would be greatly appreciated to get this machine working again:-

300500 Axis C1  drive 1 system error, error codes 00000034H, 00600000H

then underneath says:-

300402 - System error in drive interface, error codes 1077,1

300500 - Axis MS drive 4 system error, error codes 00000035H, 00000060H

300500 - Axis X1 drive 2 system error, error codes 00000555H, 55555555H

300500 - Axis C1 drive system error, error codes 00000034H, 00600000H

I can help you but I need you post picture of your 611D drive system when that error happening, there must be some red led(s) on the 611D control card(s).Picture should show from NCU all the way to the end. And if possible tell some story about this m/c issue, the error happen just when power up, or when you move any Axis.

Normal people do not know what is error for drive box( you call it power Unit , Siemens call it power section) --and what is error for control card. But I DO,

I only need 5 minutes if I would be in your shop--I will let you know exactly what is wrong and how to do for next step.

I worked for those system services >20 years, more 500 cases.

Check this forum ,find out all post with my answer. you will have confidence.

PS: if you like you can post m/c builder's name

PS: again, I attached Siemens trouble shooting manual related page--you can follow the step in the page if you know how to modify the NCMD, attention is write down all MD values before you change them, in case you need change them back. Post all actions you did together with the picture I asked you to post

Hello, I appreciate your help on this.

The error happens at powering up the machine.

The machine is a Hyndai HiT20M CNC Mill/Turn.

your 2nd pic has only one drive, but LED not show up. I need to see all drive cards with LED ( I think RED) on the card. and if possible post 611D control card part#--should be like 6SN1118-0D???-0AA?

From the description in your first post, the problem seems to be in your drive control card, refer alarm number 300402, which can be resetted by hardware reset. Please refer the attached sheet for 300402 alarm. Other alarm messages, 300500 code 034H, 035H etc. etc. are more or less related to drive boot software section.

I would recommend you to contact your nearest Siemens service support for this problem.   

 611D --SIMODRIVE 611D, 840D IS CNC SYSTEM, M/C NEED DRIVE, 611D is drive system running together with 840D, all your alarms are happen in the drive system control card.

 OK, I expected the picture with all drives control card have red LED's on them.

My suggestion is --

#1--You do some hardware switch to see if can find some hits. You did not post control card part# (actually you answer are always short). But I see from your pic. the 1st drive and the 3rd drive seem have same type of card. try to switch them position to see what happen. POST card# 6SN1118-????.   the parts# will tell us you have Hi Performance control or just standard.

#2--there are 2 answers suggest you (including mine) to check NCMD--attached solution for alarm#300420, follow the step to do some to see what will happen. read my suggestion before doing any action.

#--tell more story about this issue, why it happen , m/c running good in last month, suddenly show you these alarms, or somebody made some actions.

PS: Check in the "Services" area to see you have good NC/PLC back up Data. and make back up with clean date information before ding some NCMD modification is always good idea.

it is also possible if you download certain years back up , that can help you to clean these alarms

But don't do it right way before we discussion
