activate main screen automatically after some time

What I want to do is having the ability to stop the project that is already running on the HMI and access the first screen of HMI (the one that gives the potentiallity of selection among transfer, start etc.). Of course I can do it by reastarting the device, however could you please advise if there is another way or propose a ready example. Please note that I am using the WInCC flexible 2008 software. Thank you in advance Hello, If you would like to stop the project running on the HMI, you can use command stop run time. But please note that by using this command you lose communication between HMI and PLC. So, you won't be able to read/ write any variable or tag to the PLC. If you would like to access the starting screen, I mean here the first WinCC flexible screen appear to you after booting the Panel, you can do it using screen selection command. If you want to retransfer project to the screen, you do not have to exit the current program, you have to connect the HMI panel with your PC/PG using the programming cable and then start transfer the new project. It will exit the RT software and start in downloading process. And after finishing, it will start RT of the new project automatically. Hope this helps

fbelic Posts: 327 Rating: (28)	Greetings Look into WinCC flexible help, under Area Pointer -> Job mailbox. You need job nr. 51 (Screen selection). You have to check screen number and field number on PLC (also by area pointer); if they stay same too long, you set them to some values (e.g. number of start screen).
