activex problem

Would you please tell us whether you have made your own ActiveX object for this project or if you were only writing a VB Script and the resulting error claimed that it was an ActiveX problem.

Now, if you are actually writing your own ActiveX object for WinCC Flex,since you are, by your own statement, "getting started" with S7 and Flex, then you are a braver man than I. That said, I am reasonably certain that designing ActiveX objects for both CE and PC requires separate compiling for each different system as well as software separate from Flex to generate the ActiveX object.

If you are simply writing scripts in WinCC Flex, then I suspect that Flex probably executes VB Scripts through an ActiveX object of its own, which could be why the ActiveX error you mentioned shows up. In my experience, 95% of code written in VB Script works the same on both PC and CE platforms, and the other 5% makes it fall down if it is on the wrong platform.

For example, below are code excerpts from scripts which I wrote to save data to a text file. Both work on their respective system, but not on the other system.

Flex Script to create a text file (PC version):

If your browser supports the option, I would suggest viewing these in plain text or even copying them toa dummy script in Flex to compare the differences in code.

Of course, I don't know if text files are what your script processes. If you don't mind, perhaps you could explain what your script does and maybe even post some code segments.
