At the moment I'm with significantly knowledge's for Step 7 and I would like to ask one question.

I hope that will find a way to solve my problem with Library on TIA Portal v15.1

So, of the beginning I started with LOGO, after that try to develop my knowledge's with Simatic Manager, but in one moment was important to use "Weekly timer" and after I read a lot of shared information here in the Forum, it was clear for me that is difficult to do.

Next step was to install TIA Portal where I read that this function is already added. Today it became clear that is not so easy. My TIA Portal do not has "weekly timer". It can be add with additional library.

I managed to find the correct library ("S7-1200_WeeklyTimer.al11") and after starting to upload, the system present message that is not possible, because my existing library is older - see attached photo.

Could you share an experience of how to solve the problem?

1. Is it possible to download my existing library and send to somebody which use older version of TIA Portal with idea to "convert" or this my idea is not correct according to the message?

2. Is it possible that option is only one - Migrate to TIA Portal 17 and fix the problem?

Before create the topic above, It was checked and downloaded. I downloaded a LGF library and installed on my TIA Portal - see attached photo. The main problem for me is that I'm still cannot find a right function.

What is my case and why I need "Weekly timer" like in LOGO Software:

Every day in different hours should be starting one vacuum pump.

For example: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday the hours will be absolutely same. 

From 00:00h to 00:15h - RUN

From 00:16h to 03:00h - PAUSE

From 03:00h to 03:15h - RUN

From 03:16h to 06:00h - PAUSE

From 06:00h to 06:15h - RUN

From 06:16h to 09:00h - PAUSE

From 09:00h to 09:15h - RUN

From 09:16h to 12:00h - PAUSE

From 12:00h to 12:15h - RUN

From 12:16h to 15:00h - PAUSE

From 15:00h to 15:15h - RUN

From 15:16h to 18:00h - PAUSE

From 18:00h to 18:15h - RUN

From 18:16h to 21:00h - PAUSE

1- You can use an array of FBs of that timer block in LGF

2- The link where you downloaded the library also has a project for TIA15.1

3- The upgraded library is attached.

1. I downloaded your attached library. Successfully loaded, but I can't use, because when I'm searching for the blocks, they aren't there in Thread "Types" - see attached photo1.

2. About LGF Library, today when I starter to learn again, it's appeared very interesting message that  my CPU doesn't support this version. - see attached photo2.

3. In the other hand, I'm very happy, because successfully founded and managed timers option in existing Library on TIA Portal 15.1 - just 2 data block TON timers with their NO and NC contacts.

This logic can be implement only if the RUN and Pause times are the same for every day - like in my simple program. Otherwise "weekly timer" is mandatory in my opinion.

Library of general functions (LGF) for SIMATIC STEP 7 (TIA Portal) and SIMATIC S7-1200 / S7-1500

 

All blocks in the library can be universally used with the following controller:

• SIMATIC S7-1200 and S7-1200F product family (from firmware V4.2)
• SIMATIC S7-1500 and S7-1500F product family (from firmware V2.0)
• Simulation with SIMATIC S7-PLCSIM (as of V14)

The library is only for 1200 and 1500 series PLC's.
