Hi Papik, PLCs of the S7-1500 series access memory in a different way than PLCs of the S7-300/400 series. S7-1500 CPUs no longer have a register in the processor, and to use the data block register DB, the register is emulated, but only when programming in STL. Besides the missing DB register, there is another important difference. When programming an S7-1500 PLC, blocks with optimized block access are created by default. This improves performance due to processor-optimized data storage. In this case, however, variables cannot be accessed by address, but only by name. In addition to the above, there are other improvements in the new PLCs that, when taken into account, can significantly improve code execution performance. So it may be time to rethink your code. But to help you do that, we need to know more about your requirements. We need to know what you want your code to do. Kind regards |
