Alarm Acknowledgement

I've attached a screenshot. The alarms in red are no longer active in my virtual PLC, I've tried clicking the group acknowledge button highlighted, and the single acknowledge button but for some reason the alarms remain. They are set as alarm class "acknowledgement" in the PLC. 

I assume that once the alarm is no longer active, as soon as it has been acknowledged, it should disappear from this view?

Any help on what I'm doing wrong would be appreciated.

First of all, welcome to the forum!

In order to give you a hand, I would like you to share with us the version of Unified you are using and the configuration you have in the alarm.

I recommend that you put an IO field next to it with the value of the variable that triggers the alarm to check and see that it should no longer be active. It would be a way to rule out possible errors.

I also recommend that you check that the alarm is not subject to individual acknowledgement because otherwise the button does not acknowledge it (Image attached).

you are technicly making everything right except one small thing.

As you can see, somehow the alarms are Incomfing/Outgoing but still there. They are not aknowledged.

The reason for this is, that the user you are logged in currently is a view-only User. The user is not allowed to acknowledge. This can be seen at the orange frame around your browser (that is luckily shown in the screenshot).

To fix this, go to your users and make sure to uncheck the Role "HMI Monitor Client". This is the only Role that can negativly affect your Runtime rights, because it states "Monitor only".

You superstar! That's exactly what the issue was. All working now. Also, good to know about the orange banner. 

I don't suppose you know a way to acknowledge alarms using a button you've created yourself?

I've found out how to do it for anyone wondering. The following script works for acknowledging program alarms.
