Analog input measures sensor supply?

Hi all,

We have an analog signal measurement and the AI module 6ES7134-6HD00-0BA1. If there is 0A running through my motor I see as input value a higher value. Is it possible that the module measures its own sensor supply?

The sensor supply isn't connected to the module.

do I use the wrong module? or is it some parameters I have to change?

It's a 2 wire module so no option for 4 wires. And it is configured as 0-20mA just as what I receive.

 Yes It's a 2 -wire module, but it's still the same values you should be able to read.

What do you mean by "The sensor supply is not connected to yhe module"?

Do you have a diagram?

A diagram is atached.

The sensor we use is the EM223 from FAGET.

So the module gives a auxiliary current, but the sensor doesn´t need one. So what I see as input in the software is the auxiliary current.

What do you mean with "higher value"?

can you show us how you connected the sensor to the Module?

Have you measured the current the comes to the Module?

2-Wire-modules usually have only a measurement from 4-20mA. Because they need to supply the sensor with its 2-measure-wires, and with 0mA there is no supply current.

See my last comment for the wiring. I connect the sensor to the Uv0 and I0+. The module is configurable as 0-20mA, so this has to work.

The module reads around 2 or maybe more mA as input value, but the sensor gives 0mA. The sensor doesn't need a supply current from the module.

I think you are right, it is measuring its supply current. 

I had a look to the Datasheet of the EM223 "intelligent currenttransformer"

I guess this is a kind of 4-wire-measurement, with the primary current as supply.

Are you able to test this?

It is indeed a 4 wire sensor, with the primary current as supply. So I guess that I have to use the 6GD00 module instead of the 6HD00? Am I right?
