AO in Redundant I/O

The software is between Red_in & Red_Out blocks in OB 35. When I'm writing 20(mA) for an output, I'm getting 10(mA) in each redundant module. I know, It's OK. But when one of the AO modules fails, the other one give 10(mA) and it's not true, because acoording to the SIEMENS's manual "The remaining module outputs the full value." what is my problem? I used FC451 (RED_DEPA) in OB83 and OB85 according to the siemens's manual. Here is a part of my project. http://rapidshare.com/files/112284895/Wet_RED.zip.html What's your thought? Best regards

Late Platinum Expert Joined: 1/7/2006 Last visit: 11/17/2023 Posts: 2705 Rating: (318)	Hi, You need FC451 also in the cyclic program, when you detected an error in the I/O, ask it with the Diagnostic block. OB83 will not work, because when you place back a module then OB83 will be called but then the frontstecker have to be placed... OB85 will only come when an other error-OB is not loaded..

Phantom75 Posts: 2661 Rating: (279)	MRG: I looked at your program and did not notice anything wrong in the blocks. However, you should make a couple of changes in HW config: a) Set the OB35 to PIP1 (for example) and also set this PIP for the AO's. b) Change OB85 option in CPU properties. It is described in the attached document. Also, make sure the wiring is ok. Just as a reminder, in redundant I/O only lower address is relevant in the user program. In hardware: I active redundancy option for AO cards in HW Config, also set PIP1 in process image. I do above items for all of the analoge channel and OB35. In wiring: In install diodes for AI, AO and DO in according to manual, and my wiring is correct too. the power supplies is common in ground. In software: I use from redundancy functions correctly in according to siemens manual and I sure thet using of lower address in my programming. I say my problem by an example: When I transfer about 20 mA into a 1 output channel, I recive 10 mA on first card and 10 mA on secound card. When one of the modules be failed, in the secound module I recive 10 mA. Since according to the siemens manual "The remaining module outputs the full value." But now I have new problem, that I recive all 20 mA in my lower address while my secound module is correct completly. Help me please.
