(attached image) Cycle: 1. operator close the door via pushbutton 2. when door is closed (sensor closed door) - if middle plate is not in closed position , close middle plate 3. if middle plate closed, close bottom plate. 4. after 5 mins, go reverse: 5. open bottom plate, 6. open middle plate 7. open the door Openin and closig is done with hydraulic cylinders. So I have, digital output for opening and closing... Can someone provide solution in LAD, please. S7-300 CPU CPU313C-2DP Thank's Attachment KG.jpg (170 Downloads)

I dont think that someone will make a complete solution for you) It is a community for helping each other instead of making someones job. Make it yourself and ask more specific questions when you'll have problems. You will get all answers you need here in that case.

You can ask something that isn't so clear but it doesn't exist someone that make the work for you. I'm also fairly new about PLC world and everything about it. But I would not dream to ask someone to do the work for me. There is even a shred of pride and consciousness. Try to search these two words in the dictionay: consciousness and pride.

I just want to see how is the better to use signal from sensors in this situation? because of that I need information from experienced colegues. Hello Milosh, As I have seen your process picture, it is a press machine which needs high personnal saftey and it may result serious injury. For example on your program you are not implemented Emergency switch, and also for closing the plates you may need to add two hand operation to make sure operator's hand are outside pressing area. Programming suggestion Since this is a sequential process I'd advice you to create a graphcet and turn that into a LADDER program or just write your program in s7-graph. Reason for graphcet By creating a graphcet your program will be very easy to follow and you will reduce your programming time a lot. Remember safety! Do not forget a press is potentially dangerious, so make sure wirebreak is covered. Also think about using double safety (like mentioned before) so people can't put there hands bewteen the doors or a deadman's switch. Easily adjustable Do not forget I/O addresses, marker etc should be easy changeable, this will reduce time when your program I/O's need to be changed or your program will be used somewhere else. So use variable declaration "#"! Easy to understand Use as much symbolic addressing as possible and avoid absolute addresses, give everything an understandable tag, so the program can easily be understood by other programmers. Outro And there are many many more suggestions... but by the looks of your postcount you probably know most of the suggestions I made.... so the point is... this program should be easy for you, just think before you program, make a graphcet or some other type of diagram that can help and then you're program will be written before you know it I hope this helped in a way and I'm awaiting your feedback, I'd be glad to answer more specific questions. What is better? note. System have tank with minimum level sensor. If it activated (ON) all pumps stops. Pipes from every pump are joine to one pipe. On that pipe is hand valve with sensors (OPENED, CLOSED). If valve closed system can't start. Also on that pipe is mounted pressure sensor. Milosh, Have you written out your project pump activation needs using pseudo code first? If so, perhaps you could share that and we could help convert your pseudo code into working plc logic. If not, it really does seem like you should do that first. It will probably end up solving your entire problem once you fully understand the problem and can describe pseudo code that solves it. The only real difference between PC logic and PLC logic programming is that plc's "scan" inputs that constantly change and order-of-solve problems related to plc scan cycle. Just my opinion.. Pretend it is visual basic or pascal or python or whatever pc language you know. Write it in that language as pseudo code. I think you will surprise yourself how far you will get.

For example; Use a sensor with a NO contact to check if the door is closed. This way when the door closes (which means the press is allowed to be activated) the contact closes. This means the 24VDC is supplied to the input of your PLC inputmodule. Now when you cut the wires the 24VDC supply to your inpur will be gone (a bit the same like a NO contact) this means your press will stop working. So you program if the contact of your doorclosed sensor is closed then you have a safe situation and the press is allowed to work. If the contact of your doorclosed sensor is open (when the door is open or on wire break) then you have a safe situation. You see? Simple as that... What do I mean by variable declaration? If you are programming in step 7 and you created a function then you can declare your variables in a variable table (probably on the top of your screen), you can use those variables in your program by writing # followed by the declared variable name.. for example; #DoorClosed. Now when you call that function in OB1 (or somewhere else) you will be able to link that declared variable to an input or output. Which makes is very easy adjustable in the future.
