Automatic Protection ON/OFF in 7SJ6211**B901FG0 relay during Tripping of 220kV line

vivek kumar gupta Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hello All, In SIPROTECH relay 7SJ6211**B901FG0 a specific event was logged when a 220kV line tripped in one of our project. Actually this 220kV line tripped and while we try to find out the reason for tripping we find this log( in attachment page no. 19 shows that). Asper our understanding this protectionOFF/ON should not be the cause of tripping, but we do not understand why this group protection was switched on and off automatically. Suddenly the whole group protection was turned off and automatically switched on after couple of second as per the log file. For reference please see the attachment. Please help as customer is seeking an explanation from Siemens for this peculiar log in numerical relay. Please help. Attachment C:\Users\In216772\Desktop\L6L2 config.pdf (140 Downloads)

The text "At least 1 protection funct. is active" ON means that there is at least 1 protection function active. Behind the message you see which protection function are active or inactive. This message can be generated bij starting te siprotec after a download. Or when the protection functions are depending on a voltage measuring, or a MCB which is shut off. Or it is programmend in the Tripmatrix. So"At least 1 protection funct. is active" =ONthe Siprotec is protecting So"At least 1 protection funct. is active" =OFFthe Siprotec is NOT protecting Note protecting is NOTTRIPPING

Also downloadand new starts are logged and the last event was almost one month before. @vivek: please contact support.ic@siemens.com "Explanation from Siemens" must come from the official support. Remember that this forum is from the Industry colleagues and answers you get here are not "from Siemens", but from colleagues which participates in the forum.
