Best Antivirus in terms of Configuration and Virus Protection for PCS7 V9

Hello  

Can anyone tell which is Best Antivirus in terms of Configuration and Virus Protection. 

I was using Symantec End point protection , But this software have many issue . 

While configuration i have to take Support request . Not Proper User manual is there. 

Also After installation it makes PC Slow. 

If anyone have Better Option for PCS 7 V9.0 please let me know.

The following virus scanners have been tested with PCS 7 V9.0 for compatibility and can be installed subsequently even with an existing PCS 7 installation:

• Symantec Endpoint Protection 14
• McAfee Endpoint Security 10.5
• Trend Micro

You can use the compatibility tool for finding the suitable antivirus for your respective PCS7 version - LINK 

For your issue with Symantec, it is recommended that you conclude on whether you are using the correct version for your respective version, else take it up with the Technical support team (Support Request Link)

Most of my systems (more than 5 large scale PCS 7 projects) are using Symantec Endpoint Protection , which are all working fine now.

Please read this manual carefully and configure it accordingly. If you do not understand any sentences, you may post it here, we can help you. 

The most important highlight is , please disable the firewall policy in Symantec Endpoint Protection. Siemens do not recommend us to use the firewall protection in SEP. The approved firewall is the windows host firewall. Correct configuration will be configured by Security controller which will be installed when PCS 7 version is installed. 

The second important note is , for the scanning frequency, please follow the manual.

I just want to know about this text means . Does that means we have to do the changes in Existing policy or we have to create new policies ?

The Symantec Antivirus Protection Manager can create policies. You can create policies for Operator Clients station; you can also create policies for Engineering workstation. 

There are a series of default policies by Symantec upon installation. 

You need to change the default policies or create a new policies to configure according to Siemens tested guidelines. 

Just configure those settings one by one in the software. I attached one picture on of the configuration page for SEPM for your understanding.
