BF and SF fault of CPU315-2DP and IM153-2

I am attaching herewith a project containing two stations - one is of CPU314-2DP and other is of CPU315-2DP. 1. In the staion of CPU315-2dp has one IM153-2 of order no. 6es7 153-2aa02-0xb0 along with other dp slaves of sinamics s120 CU320. 2. Under this DP slave (IM153-2DP) there are 2 DI, 1 DO, 1 AI and 1 AO modules. The AI and AO are actually only in hardware configuration. They ware not used in the programming. The project has been running very smoothly for last one year. 3. As the AI and AO modules are only in the hardware configuration and not used in the programming, I wanted to use these modules in other project. And because of this, I deleted the modules from the hardware configuration and recompile the configuration without any problem. Then downloaded the configuration to the stataion it belongs to. 4. After downloading the configuration, BF and SF leds for the CPU and IM153-2 are on. PLC is in run mode. In the diagnosois buffer, it is showning (though I can not not exactly remember at this moment), CPU can not detect the exact IM153-2 which has been in the hardware configuration. Check if the profibus communication is OK, Have fun...

I reconfigured only of station 2 and downloaded to the respective cpu (that means to cpu315-2dp). The other station is ok. There is no fault LED on. One thing might be noted that I only edited the old configuration (that is, I deleted only AI and AO module) and recompiled it. Now, whether I will reconfigure the whole hardware of the station and then download to the cpu. Best regards, Shyamal

The problem is only with cpu315 station. Another point I would like to note here whether there might be any problem related with simatic manager version. That is, I want to say whether the configuration was made with other version than the version I am working with now. If so, would there be no error in opening or editing the station hardware? If yes then check the Profibus cable that you have connected, or go online in the hardware configuration and check if the IM is shown, Have fun.... Attachment 1.JPG (215 Downloads)

The first thing I would do is download back the original project; in this way you can learn two things: one that your original backup from the supplier is current or matchingand second if you have or don’t problems with Step7 versions (normally any problems are reported during the compilation, but in rare cases you can have a free or erros compilation but some surprises after downloading..) After downloading the original project, and if successful, now go ahead in the Hardware Config. changes, in your case removing two analog cards. Remembering to always keep an previous version or running version of your changes!

SKG Bronze Member Joined: 5/30/2008 Last visit: 10/11/2023 Posts: 135 Rating: (3)	Hi, One mistake has been identified - the DI module used actually is of 6es7 321-1bl00-0aa0 but in the configuration it is found as 6es7 321-1bl80-0aa0. Before editing the configuration I uploaded the program and also found the module of 6es7 321-1bl80-0aa0. Now upon your doubt I have got it checked and found the mistake. But my question is how it has been running without any problem (SF and BF fault) for about one year with this mismatch. I only deeted the AI and AO module and downloaded the uploaded configuration. However, tomorrow I will check it again with the correct MFLB and let you know the result. Thank you for the support. Best regards, shyamal
