Geoff2312 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi, We usually use the tp 177 HMI panels and for a new client we were required to use KTP basic panels. I have written the software and tried downloading to the panel (ktp 6" PN) using Win CC Flex 2008 SP2. A window said that the device's firmware is out of date and it needs updating. I clicked ok and it transferred the data to the device. After the data was transferred the device said copying to flash memory once that finished the start screen appeared. I re set up the ethernet connection and tried to download my software again. This did not work so I reset the device. The device hangs in the start screen (all white with some text about ktp600 basic colour pn (tft) bootloader v1.38 (2012-03-27) MAC: 00-1c-06-0b-ea-5c Does anyone know what went wrong and how I can fix this? I have done software updates to Siemens HMIs before with no problem. I do not know why this onbe did not work.

Take a look at this FAQ: How do you do an operating system update (OS update) on operator panels? --> "Operating system update" or "Reset to factory settings" best regards
