Camera interface on the TP700

A camera with network interface is required for connection to a Comfort Panel.

A camera display control is available for SIMATIC HMI Comfort Panels and KTP Mobile Panels. This camera display control can be used to output images from a connected network camera.

The camera display control can be found in the tool palette, which is available in the context of the image editor in TIA Portal.

The network camera used must fulfil the following points.

- Network protocol (streaming protocol): RTP/RTSP

- Video format: H.264 and MJPEG or H.264 and MPEG4

- Picture resolution: 640 x 480 / 1280 x 1024 / 1920 x 1080 (other resolutions...)

- Image transmission (frame rate): Adjustable between 5 and 25/30 fps

Please note:

- RTSP addressing: Sometimes the description of the camera manufacturer regarding "RTSP addressing" is not very detailed. Here, only research on the Internet will help. Better: Before buying, ask the manufacturer of the network camera about the "RTSP addressing" specific to the camera model.

- It cannot be guaranteed that every network camera available on the market can be used, as the technical requirements vary depending on the manufacturer.
