I have tried finding a download link for STEP7 PROF 2010 SR4 as I need to install it. So far I have not been successful. Can it be downloaded and if so - from where? At the present I have STEP7 PROF 2010 SR2 installed - (as well as WinCC 7.0 SP3 Upd.1 Starter and some Safety programs) can I DL SP 3 and SP 4 and just install them and will I get the same functionality from this? Or is it necessary to "start from scratch" and install all the Siemens programs again? |

Hello, you can download SP4 and install directly on 2010 SR2. The SR/SP3 is not need. https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/93842624 Regards Christoph |

Hello ChristophD, Thank you for answering. And will the installation of SP4 make the presently installed 2010 SR2 fully compatible (identical?) with 2010 SR4?

Hello, The SR4 of STEP 7 Professional 2010 now includes the following updates of the components:

Hi again ChristophD, I am really NOT deliberately stupid - but I know from experience that installing it wrong might make it impossible to go back (WinCC 7.4 SP1 instead of WinCC 7.4 Upd.1 and I am recommended to reinstall Windows). So - if I install the SP4 file you linked to just before I also need to find install files for:
These ARE included in the STEP7 PROF 2010 SR4 DVD but not in the SP4 file - or am I wrong here?

Hello, yes they are on the SR4 DVD. Some Hotfixes are not available for single download. So if you want the SR4 level order the 2010 SR4 DVD and install it from there, a download is not available for the Package.
