Can someone help with a wiring diagriam for a connection of logo! AM2 with the logo! 230 RC?

Split from 4-20mA sensor wiring to LOGO epansion module AM2.

+ power to the + of the sensor

- of the sensor to the I1 of the AM2 module

M1 of the AM2 module to the - power.

You must also connect 24VDC to the mains of the AM2 module.

In stead of I1, or M1 you can use I2 and M2 for sensor 2

The AM2 module is NOT galvanic trended form inputs, so if you use deifferent powermodules for the AM2 module and the sensors, you must connect both - (minus) together.

Yes, it is possible to add an AM2 expansion module to a LOGO! 230V.

But a wiring plan can only be created if we know what sensor it is.

Please write the manufacturer and type.

Say we have a typical 3-wire PNP proximity sensor requiring a DC power supply for its operation. How do we connect the sensor to the AM2 and the AM2 to the LOGO! 230 ?There must be an output from the AM2 inputing the LOGO! 230. Am I right?

Is there any manual from Siemens about AM2? I  have searched a little bit but I haven't found anything.

Since you are completely on the wrong way.

An AM2 is an analog expansion module for analog signals (voltage, current or PT100 / 1000).

For a 3-wire PNP proximity sensor, a digital input is required.

What is the supply voltage of the sensor?

 Ok, I didn't know that for 3-wire PNP sensors I need digital input module.

My questions are mostly academic. At the time I am interested in connecting an analog input to an AM2 module and the AM2 module to the LOGO! 230 (it has only digital inputs). For example I wire a simple circuit with dc battery and a potentiometer. When I fiddle with the potentiometer I take a slowly varying voltage (a few volts). How do I direct this voltage to the AM2 and then the AM2 to the LOGO! 230?

 I have solely worked with digital inputs -push buttons and now want to cope with analog signals. Thank you for your time.
