Hello Lucky,
I dont Understand Why there is a both Modbus (Master & Slave)Software, because both the Software with Dongle Cost you more, you can order any one & used any Driver in that, you can download the Driver here also..... Also the CP1613 A2, if it is a new configuration then You will get CP1623 from the Siemens, Also the 6ES7972-0CB20-0XA0 SIMATIC S7, PC ADAPTER USB cable, when you have the CP443-1 on the Rack? also there is a Update Service for all the Softwar, it will also increase your Cost.... also I dont undersatnd what you want to know from as... |

Hello, Fault tellerent system means that you have two redundanat CPUs (Hot stand by). So you have H-CPUs. These CPUs can work in Fail Safe mode or in standard mode. The same real hardware won't change with the CPUs rack. With FH system, you need to have CFC licence for CFC programming, F-Systems & Runtime copy licence. If you are using your system as a fault tollerent only, then you do not have to buy these porducts.
I have seen the configuration quickly. Why you are using RT copy licences and in the same time you are using standard I/O modules! If you plan to make this system Fail safe without spending any hardware fees, then you have to buy at least fail safe I/O modules. But I think also you should take into consideration, that it is not upgrade from standard to fail safe as you asked, In standard software will be developed in LAD, FBD or STL. But in Fail safe, it will be developed in CFC or Safety matrix. So, you will write the code again and use the same "Fail Safe modules" in Fail Safe mode. It's not possible to use standard I/O modules in fail safe mode, But it is possible to useFail Safe I/O module in both standard and fail safe modes. Hope this helps. |

Ok..Yes, I understand now I do not have failsafe IO, hence, I may not be able to use this system as a Failsafe system. Moreover most of my queries are through now. However, now I Just want to confirm, if I can use the FH CPU as an H CPU without any issue, and there is no different firmware or program in a FH CPU, as mentioned below. Ayman Elotaify wrote: Ammy wrote: ........... 6ES7-833-1CC00-6YX0- I have not understand the used of this software. ............ 6ES7833-1CC00-6YX0is just to verify by visual inspection of the controller that that CPU has Fail safe program. It's scope of supply contains a hardcopy certificate if I remember well and two nice small TUV stickers. You have to stick one for each CPU. That all you will found in the package. Hope this helps. |

Dear Lucky, You can use Failsafe fault tolerant CPU as only H CPU. You can use standard blocks and as well as standard IOs. But, reverse is not possible i.e., Fail-safe blocks wont' work on H CPU. Vishp. |

Hello again, You can not order FH-CPU. You always can order H-CPUs or H-Bundle and if you want to use it in a fail safe system, then you will buy Run Time copy licence. So it is by default Fault tollerent system and you spend some extra money for buying copy licence (which contains the hard copy licence + two stickers). But I don't know why you may spend these money whenever the while I/O modules are standard modules!

Correction. Fail-safe blocks wont' work on You have H-CPUs. You are free to program it as standard with standard I/Os or as failsafe with failsafe I/Os. Two software are completlly different but it is possible for the same HW (H-System). Hope my explanation clear now.

Hello Everyone, I just got bit confused now. I would like to know, what is the difference between : Simatic 400H and Simatic 400F and Simatic 400HF and Simatic 400 PLC's. I understand F stand for Fail Safe and H stands for Hot standby, but is there any document which explains the diffrenece among all and its applications. Thanks,
