CFC changes undo without reason

wolf08 Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	Hi everyone, im experimenting an odd error in the CFC editor of PCS7 V7.0, when i make some modification, (renaming a block, moving, deleting or inserting it) ocasionally without any apparent reason everything goes to the previous state, like perfoming an UNDO command, i've lostlots of time because of it. Seems like the only way i can be sure the modifications i make will not be deleted is after a compilation. Can anyone help me with this issue please?

wolf08 Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	Hi, no, im not working with channel drivers, im working with OR blocks, AND blocks, MUL_R blocks, and so on. Basically im programming inserting or editing blocks and suddenly they disappear or return to it previous state.

minhajie Posts: 96 Rating: (10)	Hiwolf08, The CFC is meant to automatically save all the changes you make. The only think that will cause this is if you are working in a auto generated CFC (used for driver blocks) or F blocks (safety matrix blocked, generated whenever you compile your safety marix) or if you update the process tag type. If this is not the case then can you please confirm which runtime group it is adding the blocks (the runtime group can be found out by clicking on the green box on the block) Hope this was helpful. wolf08 Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	hi minhajie, the one you are referring to is not my case, im not working with automatically generated cfc, and due to the nature of the problem is not possible to take a screenshot, i will try to explain itand i know its not suppose to happen because theres i no SAVE or UNDO in PCS7: i insert an OR block an rename it then i insert an AND block and rename it,the momenti try to connect the output of an already existing block (anyone) to the OR block a message appears "the block doesnt exist" and then both blocks dissapear (OR & AND blocks) like if i never did anything at all. This can happen after i did a lot of changes so is kind of frustrating. im receiving one message error continuosly that perhaps has something to do with the problem, i add a screenshot. any idea? minhajie Posts: 96 Rating: (10)	Hiwolf08, If you don't want to do what Yer said then I would recommend you to close all application and do a system restart and then try one more time. It is a common practise but I though it is worth mentioning in case you haven'tdone it? regards, Minhajie

wolf08 Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	Hi Minhajie and Yer, i didboth things, save with reorganization and restart when i face this problem, but still there.Im not sure if its related to some bad installation, butthe same problem is happening in two different PC's. Behaviour of the problem is weird, sometimes i can work for days withput problem, and somedays its frustrating, it continuosly undo every change i made. I've noticed it happens more when i modify block parameters or use copy/paste/cut to copy blocks or DB addressess. I've thought about reinstall the software but it takes lot of time and im not quite sure this is the problem.

PS: You can do that by right-click on your blocks folder and the select the tab on the window which will appear. it might be the case that you're following an addressing priority different than the one set for your project. And this is ture only for the connections made to CFC blocks and not the block itself. Kind regards, Ghassan
