Changing the system error language in WinCC Flexible 2005 SP1

Gert_K Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have a project imported from ProTool and I reckon it that it had russian language set as the default error messages language. I cannot manage to find the place to change the default error message language for the imported project. I think the workaround could be to change the language in ProTool and then import the project again (but this would be troublesome as I don't have ProTool installed). Any ideas? Then the system messages will also appear in Russian. Sorry, I just re-read the post and I think I misunderstood but the basic principle is the same. The regional settings on the panel and the on-line language must be the same and then the system messages will be in the same language.

Marques Posts: 126 Rating: (2)	Hello Gert_K, i think you can solve your problem if you change your "project language", and then just make copy past of the texts in "projects texts" from your old project languge to the new. You can find - Project Language- and -Project Texts- in the menu -Language Settings- of your Wincc Flexible. Regards, Maques

But you are correct - I copied all my language texts to English and then deleted the Estonian language from the RT languages and the system messages are now in English. Still quite weird - as if Siemens assumes that we automatically want russian system texts when we configure Estonian language. I haven't tested that, though. Thanks everybody for replying! Gert

A little comment: Yes, siemens assumes u want the text in the language that is configured, it even changes the layout on your keyboard according to the configured language. Having an English keyboard (qwerty)and configured language is Dutch (azerty)is kinda hard to get used to. But nice to hear its fixed. Jeebs
