vegas Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	We have 1 OS Server (Windows server 2003) configured whit 1 OS client (Windows XP, SP2), i tried configuring the comunication client-server for WINC. - The complete project OS_Prj is compiled without errores - The server project download from the ES_PC at OS_Server PC withou error Source: C:\AS\Minera_COBRE\Minera_M\OS1_Prj\wincproj\OS(3)\winccom\Target: \\Ing-wks-172\SCRIPTFCT\PROYECTO_cobre\OS(3)\OS(3).mcp Project type: Master MAKE: Yes Date: Friday, January 30, 2009 13:06:27 Display load log... 30/01/2009 01:06:28 p.m. : The entire WinCC project will be transferred to the runtime OS. 30/01/2009 01:06:28 p.m. : The target directory is read-/writeable. 30/01/2009 01:06:28 p.m. : No project is open. 30/01/2009 01:06:40 p.m. : The project was opened successfully. 30/01/2009 01:06:43 p.m. : The Picture Tree was updated in 00:00:03. 30/01/2009 01:07:03 p.m. : Server data were created successfully. 30/01/2009 01:07:13 p.m. : The WinCC project is being closed 30/01/2009 01:07:15 p.m. : The project was locked. 30/01/2009 01:09:05 p.m. : The computer name was changed in the project ING-WKS-172. 30/01/2009 01:09:16 p.m. : The lock on the project was removed. 30/01/2009 01:09:16 p.m. : Downloading the OS in 00:02:48 completed successfully. 30/01/2009 01:09:16 p.m. : Success: Download to target system was completed successfully. -Now, i am in the configuration of client and i tried downloading the OS_CLIENT project at CLIENT's PC, i have the following problem: The entire WinCC project will be transferred to the runtime OS. 30/01/2009 01:25:08 p.m. : The target directory is read-/writeable. 30/01/2009 01:25:08 p.m. : No project is open. 30/01/2009 01:25:17 p.m. : All files in the existing project were deleted. 30/01/2009 01:25:17 p.m. : The project was locked. 30/01/2009 01:25:47 p.m. : The files were copied successfully. 30/01/2009 01:27:50 p.m. : Caution: An error occured while changing the computer name in project CLIENTE. 30/01/2009 01:27:50 p.m. : The lock on the project was removed. 30/01/2009 01:27:50 p.m. : Caution: Downloading the OS failed. Duration: 00:02:42 30/01/2009 01:27:50 p.m. : Cancel: An error occurred while downloading to the target system. -Although the project file has been creaded in client's pc, i HAVE tried to open the project from client's pc but always a pop up window appears requering for user name and password as manner to connect with the server application. Even though, i have added a Windows users member of SIMATIC HMI group in ES PC, OS CLIENT PC and OS SERVER PC with all permissions on the target path driver, now when i tried to login with this user from CLIENT PC a pop up windows shown "no operator authorization" I tried to follow the steps for Server configuration but in the step 4, i don’t know how to do it? Because in the user administrator in wincc explorer appears 7 default permissions and i has raid about 3 permissions, 1000- “remote configuration”, 1001-"remote active" and 1003-“observer” but when I tried to add the 1000 authorization this is no possible. 2.4 Server Configuration Configuration steps Configuring a multi-user system In the case of a multi-user system, several clients are configured which display the view from one server in runtime. The clients receive data exclusively from one server and have no individual configuration. Proceed as follows to configure a server in a multi-user system: 1. Create a new project, of the "Multi-User Project" type, on the server. 2. Configure the necessary project data (pictures, archives, tags...) on the server. 3. Clients which should be capable of remote configuration must be registered inthe computer list on the server. 4. Assign operating rights for the clients which should be capable of remote configuration. 5. Activate the automatic package import at the server. 6. Configure the clients in the server project Please, i help me!!!

Phantom75 Posts: 2661 Rating: (279)	The only idea I have at the moment is, create a new test client station and try to download this to the client. In this case you need to uncheck the "computer name is same as PC station name" and manually enter the client computer name. Also copy/paste target path from CLIENTE to test station. Let's see if this works...

Both server and clients should have identical user name and passwords. 2. The following has nothing to do with your problem. This is only for creating users in WinCC runtime like operator, supervisor etc. vegas . . . The configuartion steps you have outlined are mainly if you are using native WinCC. With PCS7 many of the steps are automatically taken care. I suggest you use the PCS7 wizard and create a test project (including OS server and OS client) for better understanding. Let me know if youneed the step-by-step procedure. 4. Now, in your case it seems to be a network problem. Please check the following: a) Have you configured the lmhosts file properly (if you are using fixed IP addressing)? b) Can you ping your server from client and client from server using the computer name? c) Can you see the computers properly in Simatic Shell of each machine, that is, the terminal bus is properly configured. 5. The following FAQ's are very helpful. You should understand them very clearly. How can you clear the error message "Download (310:88)"? After reloading the OS project to the server from the ES, how do you clear the undefined error message and the abort? Let me know if you need any further help. Regards

In your point 4, i did file lmhost in all pc stations as it follow 172.158.2.178CLIENTE#PRE 172.158.2.172SVRPC#PRE 172.158.2.175ESPC#PRE later i did a ping <pcname> in all machines as it is seen in pingname.jpg in .rar and i did check the simatic shell, which seems to be well. I have a problem about license in client pc as seen in license.jpg although i have all licenses required as seen in licenseinstalled.jpg. Phantom75 Posts: 2661 Rating: (279)	Hi vegas, Do you have multiple network cards on the client? Can you check the binding order (Start/Network Connections/Advanced Settings/Adapters and Bindings)? Please post screenshot of this and screenshot of Network Connections. One more idea: You can manually create a test project on the client (WinCC Explorer/File/New/Client Project) and load the server data (*.pck file) - right-click Server data, then Loading... and browse to server Packages folder over the network. Run OS project editor once and activate runtime and see if you can go online with the server. Regards
