CMR2040 and S7-1200

Hi

Is it possible to use a CMR2040 with a S7-1200?

I trying to find a simple way to send alarm text messages from a S7.

Hello shauns,

as written before, you can only wire the 2 inputs of the CMR2040 directly to a CPU1200 for "commuication".

If you need more possibile alarm messages you have two possibilities in my opinion:

1) Buy a LOGO base Module - Create a S7 connection between LOGO BM and 1200-CPU and read the VM values from the LOGO BM to the LOGO!CMR

2) Maybe its a better option to buy a LTE CP for the 1200 CPU.. There you have the advantage, that you can directly access all data from the CPU directly and send the SMS via the CP. MLFB is 6GK7243-7KX30-0XE0. This option does cost more I'd say
