Communicate S120 drive with CU320-2PN

SdSady Advanced Member Joined: 9/27/2013 Last visit: 3/27/2023 Posts: 39 Rating: (0)	Dear Sir, i am trying to communicate S120 drive with CU320-2PN , and i am using TIA Portal Version 15, Startdrive V15 is also installed. when i connect the s120 with my laptop and try accessible nodes, my software cannot find anything. i have four S120 of same type with same CU, none of them is working. i have downloaded the GSD file from the below link and installed in tia portal, but still no luck. https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/au/en/view/49217480 Can you please guide me? SdSady Advanced Member Joined: 9/27/2013 Last visit: 3/27/2023 Posts: 39 Rating: (0)	Dear Sir, I am using CU320-2PN(6SL3040-1LA0-0AA0) and i have tried all 3 ports, X127 & both profinets port(port1 & port2), X127 shows me blinking led on port but Profinet ports doesnt even show any blinking when i connect it with my laptop. From all 3 ports i cant access the drive in my TIA Portal V15, and all 4 inverters, CU320-2PN, and CF cards are same and i am facing same trouble in all 4 drives/CU. After booting up, drive "RDY" is "Continuously ORANGE" on all 4 drives. i cant find FW version written on sticker, i am attaching pictures of CU sticker and CF card both. looking forward for your help. ChristophD Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 5/12/2006 Last visit: 3/30/2023 Posts: 21352 Rating: (2820)	Hello, you use a CU310-2, not a CU320-2 ! this type is not supported in STARTDRIVE ! on the card label the FW is 4.7 HF29, you can check this: insert the cf in a cardreader and open the file content.txt , here the FW Versions are stored. The orange RDY mean that is not boot up complete. You can try the following: insert CF in Card reader delet/rename the Folder USER on the CF insert the cf in the CU and power on now the CU should boot up to a green blinked RDY LED. Regards Christoph

This card was being used with DP modules and i am trying to change it with CU profinet module, i dont have a card reader, is there anyway to reset the card? to delete the old configuration which is already installed for DP module? and after the resolution of this problem? i still wont be able to configure it with STARTDRIVE? then what do i need to configure it using profinet? Thanks

With starter you can try to go online and perform a factory reset, this delete the old configuration from the card. Regards Christoph

Thanks

(if yes then the need SSP is installed) Do you connect the Scout directly to the CU? No Switch or router? Is the Networkconnection active in Windows Networkcenter? only other solution is to use a CF Card reader. Regards Christoph
