Communicate with ET200SP CM PtP to a Modbus master with 7 databits and 1 stop bit

Have to communicate with ET200SP CM PtP to other vendor as a Modbus master with 7 databits and 1 stop bit. Was this problem solved somehow? To me it seems that user cannot define the databits and stop bits for Modbus anymore with these new logic controllers... ----------------- New subject after splitting from Modbus communication via ET200S CM PtP module.

The actual protocol in question is Modbus ASCII, but there is no special card for that anymore like before? Basically this means that the whole protocol structure has to be made self bit by bit...

Fafner Silver Member Joined: 3/20/2013 Last visit: 3/9/2023 Posts: 676 Rating: (43)	Or you can use another modbus slave, some slave which does not need the 7 databits and 1 stop bit... other way round: yes, if you are using freeport and going with the port_cfg; snd_cfg and recv_cfg than you are able to make this configuration.
