We have one system, please refer to attached system architecture. There is 400H redundant system, 400 single and wincc server, there are twoethernetcommunication backbones. So few problems are encountered. 1. The communication between 400H and 400 single.Initiailly, there was only one CP443-1 in 400 single, wefound it is not possible for one CP443-1 to talk to thetwo CPs in seperate networks in 400H, so we decide to add one CP443-1 in 400 single. We setup two S7-connections (TCP) in netpro, one between CP443-1A and CP443-1C, another is between CP443-1B and CP443-1D, use AG_SEND/REV block to send/receive in 400H/400 single at the same time, which means two send and two receive blocks are enabled in each controller, only the ID are different, we found no problem this way. So the question is there is one product from IT4industry called APRED which does similar thing, so what is the advantage of using this block? Or what is the potential problem of my solution. 2. Second problem is the communication between 400 single and WinCC. Now we have two CP443-1 in 400 rack and two CP1613 in one WinCC server, how to archieve the redundant connection between them? I tried the "setup redundant connectionn wizard" for a TCP/IP connectionn, it doesn't work, it looks like only works when the two connectionsare in the same network, but now we have two networks, i even tried to bridge the two CP1613,problem remains. I don't have a managed switch in hand, so does the managed switch help in this case? And i also tried to setup two connections in netpro, one between CP443-1C and CP1613A, another between CP443-1D and CP1613B, use named connectionns instead of TCP/IP, but when i tried to use "setup redundant connection" wizard, it does not create the scriptwhich switches the connection, socan this redundant connectionn wizard work for named connection? Anybody encounter similar problems? Appreciated your sharing. And also we need to connection few S7-300 with only one CP343-1, so probably we can only connect those to single side of network. Please comment on this well. We can only use ethernet, DP/DP coupler is not an option. Thanks. |

Hi xinke, 1. Regarding the first question, sorry but i never used the software that you mentioned from IT4Industry, but for this kind of comm Ialways use only one CP in the "single CPU".. 2. You can try the following, run the "setup redundant connectionn wizard" and fill the data as you used IPs in the same network. Then you can open an edit the script that the wizard creates and modify the Ips. That is what the wizard makes, create a script that changes the properties of the link when the links state changes. I thnk that this shouldwork because as far as I know WinCC sends the packet to the S.O: and S.O. decides wich CP will send the packet depending on the destination IP/Windows routing table. Hope this helps regards |

Hello, So, on the other thread you received answer. Just to include here - to have fully redundant (hardware) system you need to have 2 CP1613 card on PC plus S7REDCONNECT packet. Look at http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/20710190 Best regards, Hristo Mihalev |

I know it is possible with CPU 400-H system. But i have only one CPU that also CPU 414-1and two CP 443-1.I want CP redundancy not CPU, therefore i am not using H series. Now how will i change the MAC address automatically from the WinCC side .In Name Connection i can only give one Connection name and from the Netpro i cannot create one connectionfor two CP by selecting connection type S7 connection.I cannot select S7 connection fault tolerant because i have CPU 414-1 not H series. Therefore, how will i have CP redundancy with CPU 414-1? |
