Communication with hyperterminal

I am sorry but it is not possible to prevent you from reading the manuals and trying to understand the Functions you use.

First of all you will have to do a connection configuration. I think the easiest way would be to be passive on the PLC side and to just provide an IPport to the PC to connect to. To check, on the PLC side, if the PC is connected you have to run the T_CONN as long as it is not successfully finished. Just than you may send Data to the HyperTerminal... but only in ASCII format, other formats will not be supported in the simple format as it is usually used with HyperTerminal.

Well, sadly I can not provide a sample, but I guess if you read the manuals and the links I posted already carefully the system should work.

I am sorry if you have the impression that I would blame youfor asking questions. This was not my intention. I had the feeling that you want to have a program that fills completely your requirements...but this is not the aim of this forum, at least in my eyes. It is not possible to relieve you from doing development work or from understanding the system environment you work in... therefore it is notuseful to hand youfinal solutions for the task you should create yourself.

The aim of this forum is to lead you the way to find your solution yourself. To get this far you need to understand what is needed to do and especially how.This is not possible by providing fitting samples.
All other wayswill not work because than you are not able toadapt situations or conditions to your system yourself. I can only hope you understand my point.

well... about the ANY-Pointer I would say the structure is always the same it looks like this:

Well to explain a bit. First you set the starting point, in this case this is DB123.DBX0.0. You may change this to your DB or M or I or Q area just as you need it. The start needs always to be a Bool, so the DBX0.0 but you may use any bit you have there, so a DBX10.0 is as good as DBX1234.0.

Then you explain the size. The size is mostly described with the data type, many functions only allow Byte as size, some also Word or DWord. So I would use the data type Byte as long as possible. The last number is the repetition factor, it says how many times the data type is being used... here 1000 Byte.

I am sorry but LLDP is not the function you configured. Actually as you configured the connection to be passive in the connection establishment you will not see the configured connection at all.

Referring LLDP I can tell you that this a function based upon the CPU OS. The CPU is build to detect its neighborhood and to help to create a network topology of the system on Ethernet. This function may be disabled but it is surely not the function your configured.
