Compatible of SINAMICS S210 Servo converter

Nicholas2077 Experienced Member Joined: 3/25/2015 Last visit: 3/30/2023 Posts: 94 Rating: (1)	Dear Expert The official D32 catalog description said that 'S210 is optimize for S7-1200 S71500, so i just wonder does this converter officially support S7-300 CPU? And meanwhile, I can only found GSD V2,3.2 on SIOS protocol, and this version only support TIA V14, link below https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/109752524/sinamics-s210-profinet-gsdml?dti=0&lc=en-US I still can use STEP7 V5.5 to import this version of GSD, however a pop windows appear during import procedure notice me the STEP7 only support V2.3.1, the V2.3.2 is not support by STEP7 V5.5, but whatever I can ignore it by click 'YES'. Meanwhile, GSD V2.3.1 not available in SIOS. So, currently I am quite confuse about compatible of this new release, my question is does this one officially support S7-300 and STEP7 V5.5?

Upgrade your Step 7 Manager to a higher version (ex. V5.6) will help. The reason of this message is because some of the PROFINET new functionalities included in this GSD are not supported by your Step 7 version. Bronze-Expert Joined: 2/7/2018 Last visit: 3/14/2023 Posts: 181 Rating: (28)	Dear Nicholas2077, SIMATIC S7-1500, SIMATIC S7-1500 T-CPU and SIMOTION can be used as controllers for the optimal interaction between controller and the SINAMICS S210 servo drive system. Working with a S7-300/400 is not recommended and tested from SIEMENS and therefore we can´t guarantee a stable operation. The GSD files requires a TIA Step 7 Version V14 or higher.
