Comunication 6GK7-342-5DA01 as slave and OMRON CJ1W-PRM21 profibus master

ArielP Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Hello, i have problems in the comunication between CP342-5 DA01 and the profibus master CJ1W-PRM21. I configured in S7 project the slave parameters. - velocity - DP direction. - check it as slave. I also programed the functions send and recv acording with the master configuration. The number of bytes its going to recive and send. The master tell me that the slave have a invalid response. and when a make a diagnostic to the slave, show - StationNotReady - ExtDiagMessage - ParameterRequest - StatusFromSlave - slave waiting for master parameters and configurations. I should do any thing else, Thaks

Rated X Posts: 1547 Rating: (129)	Hello, to use the CP342-5 as DP Slave you have to use a GSD File on OMRON side. The GSD file you will find here: PROFIBUS GSD files : SIMATIC Check on OMRON side the PROFIBUS address you have configured there, because if the address is right then it will work or you will get another error message like Station found, but wrong configuration. Check also cabling or use CP special diagnostic to check live list if PROFIBUS Address of OMRON Station will be found.

ArielP Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Yes I put de GSD in the omron project, and configure the same data length for the master and the slave SEND - RECV. In the diagnostic of the PRM21(Master) appear the slave but appear "Invalid slave response". I made a diagnostic to de cp342-5 and appear this error: - (spanish translation )Error protocol in mini protocol. Event ID: 16# F9C1:0702 Thanks for the answer.

Please try again. Two questions: First, did you insert FC1 and FC2 in your Step 7 rpogram, to support the CP 342-5? If this is already done, it would be good to see how they have been configured. Second: what adrress range have you configured in the CP 342-5 compared to FC1 and FC2?Have a look at the following FAQ and attached links: Notes on linking a CP342-5 as DP slave to a DP master with STEP 7 Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier

ArielP Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Hello Daniel, Thanks for your answer. I uploaded the file already. Well, yes i program in OB1 the FC1 and FC2 call, I set the the direction of the CP module and send y recv the same number of bytes that I configurate in the master. Thanks.

Your first step should be to checkthe Profibus configuration of the slave, comile the HWConfig to regenerate the SDBs and download the configuration to the CPU once more. If the BF LED starts up only when you connect to the Profibus master,, I would check also how FC1 and FC2 have been confoigured. please open the links in the proposed FAQ above, and also the information on FC!/FC2 here: What should you watch out for when configuring a CP342-5 as DP master and why is it necessary to call the FC1 "DP_SEND" and FC2 "DP_RECV" functions in the user program of the CPU in order to transfer data? ArielP Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Hello, the BF led blink in the omron master, the slave appear only with the led run. But it's possible that the problem is the hardware config. The module was update to firmware V3, but I have only in step 7 the product versions 1 and 2. What I can do. (Step 7 5.4) I install the GSD file but only apeare thats versions. In the front of the module apeare that is the version 2. x\|3 4\|5 if I configure the hardware as version 1, disappear disappear the initial problems but continue the errors mini protocols after the module configure adopted. error codes: 0x21020090 0x22020080 Attachment DSC_1318.jpg (154 Downloads)
