configuration file for CP-243IT

Brooks Posts: 24 Rating: (0)	hi all - im trying to host a webpage on our 243IT CP module displaying values from a 224XP PLC. i have developed the java software using the NetBeans IDE developer, but i am unsure of how the configuration file shhould look to share the PLC info with the Java applet. i have two examples to follow, but they both utilize a configuration file that i can't access, so i'm not sure what format it needs to take on. if anyone can help me, or send me a sample configuration file, that would be great. also, i know i need to FTP all the files onto the CP243 module, but once they're loaded, do i need to do anything else? i am assuming the IP address, when accessed, will show the HTML page associated with the module, and the HTML will load the applet - then the applet loads the PLC info through the configuration file. is this correct? any help is greatly appreciated. thanks brooks

HTML Code Generator (Free of charge from Siemens): Download: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/de/21287395 Easy to use. Works with S7-200, 300 and 400 IT-CP's Disadvantage: slow update rate because each "Read" is a lingle applet. SpiderControl (S7-200version ~300€, S7-200/300/400 version ~1000€, Demo for free) Download: www.spidercontrol.net A little more complecated but faster because you "create" one Applet with lots of data inside. Here the complete applet is update. Both tool has FTP included so you can directly download all the necessary files to the IT-CP. I hope this helps. Regards Helmut
