Configuration of XF204-2BA-DNA (Y-Switch) in Simatic Manager

Hello,

I am working on a project that has redundant CPUs (410-5H) and Profinet R1 network.

I also have a CFU, which will be connected behind the Y-Switch (XF204-2BA-DNA). The Y-Switch should act as a gateway between the R1 network and another S2 netwrok (with MRP).

The question I have is how do I configure the Y-Switch in HW Config ?

I added it to the network but it only connects to a single Profinet leg (not both) which is confusing in terms of redundancy. I have also tried to add bus adapters but still couldn't get it to connect to both legs (such as an ET200SP-HA for instance).

My mistake was I assign PN ports of H-heads to different Subnets. They should be in same (so, same subnet adress) Here is a note from Blueprints:

When the Y-Switch is used, the subnets of the R1 network must be physically separated from each other. Furthermore, both subnets of the R1 network and the secondary S2 network must use the same IP address range.

So, take in mind that you can not just plug YSwitch to exisiting R1 configuration with separated subnets. And more - it could be that capacity of R1 system will be divided by 2 by double adressing each R1 slave (I suppose so). ((
