Configure the PLC using TIA v13 SP2 - without success

Hi Experts,

I have a similar problem. In my present project I have a ET 200S on IM-151-3AA23-0AB0 (v7.0.5) driven by a CPU 1215 C DC/DC/DC v4.2.0. I am attempting without success to configure the PLC using TIA v13 SP2. The hardware catalog simply does not have V4.2 PLC.

The error messages that show up in the diagnostic buffer are..

"Hardware component removed or Missing"

"Hardware component removed or missing - internal application reasons"

" Hardware component not available due to type mismatch"

All these I presume are due to Step7 v13 SP2 + CPU v 4.2

Will welcome any help to solve this issue.

Split from can i downgrade firmware from v4.2 to v4.1?.

Configure a V4.1 and load it to the V4.2 PLC. Even if you see some warnings. Download the new hardware data to the device first, then continue working normally.

I have created a 4.1 controller (max possible in v13.2 HSP) and downloaded into the 4.2 CPU. However the IOs on the ET 200 S do not get detected.

Is it necessary to downgrade the firmware to v4.1 in order to use with ETS200 Profinet IO system.

no is not necessary to downgrade.

Have you check the wiring and IP / Name settings of the I/O ?

Thanks, following your very useful advise, I did not downgrade the firmware. The stupid mistake we made was that the End-Plate of the ET 200S had not been put in place. So I share this mistake and hope my experience is useful to others.
