HealthcheckThank u very much. I was thinking so me too, but I wanted to approve it. Now I am going further more. I am dealing with this problem 1. I make a project in STEP7 V5.5, that consist in the hardware configuration, the definition table of the variables (that is 2, one input I0.0, and one output Q0.0) and a simple program in the OB1 block that is to light up the coil Q0.0. when the input I0.0 is going to 1 2. I run the PLCSIM, I download the STEP7 project in the simulated PLC, and everything is running smooth... 3. Second step I do is to make a simple Wincc project that consist in one main screen, i added the SIMATIC S7 PROTOCOL SUITE, i make a new connection, with MPI address the same with the MPI address of the simulated PLC (that is 2), and i make an external tag named "START1" of Unsigned 16-bit value data type, and address MW0 (Bit Memory). 4. In the main screen i put a smart object BUTTON and in the property of it in the events tab i wrote a VBS action to make it dynamic on click! The VBS action is the following : Hmiruntime.Tags("START1").Read Hmiruntime.Tags("START1").Write 1 that supposed to make the value of tag START1 set to 1 (or the Input I0.0 set to 1 (?)) 5. I saved it all, and i run the Wincc project, having the PLCSIM running. and now the problem : 6. I CLICK ON THE BUTTON BUT NOTHING HAPPENT TO THE AS :( That mean the connection between PLC and WinCC is not established. Why that happen ? I will be very gradefull if u help me Thank u in advance |

In Wincc explorer, you have to go to your tag management and then to the connection you downloaded it. In your case: MPI. Then right-click and on the system parameter tab, make sure your connection is set via PLCSIM. Remember, you dont have a named connection with a simulated AS....Therefore, change the setting to PLCSIM. After settings, exit and do a compile changes via the MPI connection just to be sure. Now you should have communication... |
If I could help you, you can use the RATE button. Thank you. |
