Hello MFeddema; Conversion efforts should be minimal, mainly addressing of IO (thereare only distributed Profibus-DP IO racks with a PC-based controller). From the S7 Controllers brochure (dowloadable here): https://www.automation.siemens.com/mcms/infocenter/content/en/Pages/order_form.aspx?nodeKey=key_3110757&infotype=3 Use of SIMATIC know-how WinAC RTX is programmed with the usual SIMATIC programming tools – with STEP 7 or, if required, also with the fieldproven engineering tools, such as the IEC 61131-3-compliant languages S7-SCL or S7-GRAPH. WinAC RTX is code-compatible with SIMATIC S7, i.e. program sections created for SIMATIC S7-300 and S7-400 can continue to be used in WinAC RTX and vice versa. Existing investments in software are thus protected. In conjunction with the familiar and field-proven configuring using STEP 7, accumulatedSIMATIC know-how can be used extremely well with WinAC RTX. For more information see this Siemens Industry Mall presentation of the Siemens PC-based controllers: https://www.automation.siemens.com/mcms/programmable-logic-controller/en/software-plc/pages/default.aspx?HTTPS=REDIRHope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

New question published by v3nom is split to a separate thread with the subject Convert WinAC program either S7-400 or S7-300. Best regards |
